Background
Following eBay's big re-branding and site redesign, I moved from eBay Relationship Marketing to the eBay Advertising team to drive the execution of natively integrated co-branded experiences and support sales efforts.
Role
I designed and oversaw the rollout of new sponsored experiences and sales tools focused on bringing retail moments to life, while also assisting eBay with special projects where UX, creative and development services were needed.
Approach
Staying plugged into both teams allowed me to keep a pulse on upcoming marketing initiatives and ensure seamless integration of sponsored seasonal programs.
This co-branded holiday shopping experience presented by eBay, HGTV and Allied Trade Group incorporated curated native content and a video shopping experience that we later productized.


Other sponsorship opportunities included homepage roadblocks, seasonal hubs and custom experiences, among other offerings.

The below site – a sales toolkit for their full suite of integrated solutions – was the last project I worked on for eBay Advertising. It incorporated brand and seller solutions, featuring educational content about retail moments on eBay produced by our team.

Ebay also approached us with special projects, like their first Consignment Center. They were looking for a simple one-page experience to help collectors sell their items by connecting them with experienced consignment sellers. It needed to provide a quick scan of categories, sellers and the types of items they specialize in.

Outcomes
The eBay Home & Garden team was proud of their holiday decor experience, the Consignment team "loved" theirs and both received nothing but good feedback from their leadership.
Sadly, eBay decided to take their Advertising business in-house, but the sales materials our team provided equipped them with the tools needed to help build excitement and educate potential advertisers.
